Law of Issue Leviticus 15

Leviticus 15:31 "Thus shall ye separate the children of Israel from their uncleanness; that they die not in their uncleanness, when they defile my tabernacle that is among them."

The tabernacle is one place where all the people meet. It is obviously important that this area not be contaminated with anything contagious. So, this chapter deals with separating those with illness where the lose of bodily fluid is involved.

References: John 13 : 3-10, Ephesians 5:25-27, 1 John 1:9 These references deal with the importance of cleansing from a spiritual prospective.

Outline:

v1 The uncleanness of men in their issues
v13 The cleansing of them
v19 The uncleanness of women in their issues
v28 Their cleansing

It is not necessary to go into detail on this chapter. Adults will understand the importance it carries in a personal way and in a large group of people. If one is discovered to be sick and contagious, it makes really good sense to separate them from the people until they are well again. Otherwise, the problem could just go round and round among the people.

The procedures in this chapter have been following for generations in the medical field.

This is the Lord taking care of issues of a personal nature but very necessary. Again, He is gracious to provide the cleansing process as well as point out the problem. Restoration is the goal.

Psalm 94:14 "For the Lord will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance."
